Herald of a New Era
The missions were always simple: leave no survivors and ask no questions. But on the day before his long-awaited retirement, Uvior uncovers a plot to build brand-new technology that would be used to introduce new kinds of violence on an unprecedented scale. Something dark and violent lurks behind civilian casualties and refused orders, and this discovery sends Uvior, his friends, and the child he was supposed to kill on a journey to build a better future from the ruins of their pasts.

Meet the Cast
Uvior, Petra, Cass, Kyé, and the child. Faces of an overdue revolution, whose homes and lives have been destroyed, whose memories have been stained with blood, whose communities have been scattered to the winds. Whose hearts weep for the fallen, whose souls ache for peace, whose weary legs long to rest. Who wander the desert, the forest, the taiga, searching for a solution that cannot come from the wilderness. They will find it amongst one another.

Additional Information
Genres
The primary genres would be fantasy, then adventure, then sci-fi. Although the main cast is made up of mostly LGBTQ+ characters, and there is a queer romance subplot, I would not primarily categorize my book as an LGBTQ+ novel. Anything I write could fit that category, but the plot of this one has much more to do with anti-imperialism than it does gender and sexuality
What to expect
Without spoiling anything beyond the first chapter, I will say that the found family trope is one of my absolute favorites, both to read and write. Since the main cast mostly already knows each other, but grows closer on their journey, you could call it a re-found family. Also lots of violence
